Warranty & Returns
At WKND Warriors, we take pride in the quality and workmanship of our custom touring canopies and tray packages.
We stand behind our products and are committed to helping customers resolve any issues that may arise.
1. Our Warranty
WKND Warriors provides a 3-year structural warranty on our custom canopies and tray packages, commencing from the date of customer handover.
This warranty covers defects in structural materials and workmanship, including the primary aluminium framework, structural welds and WKND-supplied structural mounting components.
Non-structural components, including hinges, locks, latches, gas struts, seals and electrical accessories, may be covered by their respective manufacturer's warranties.
All warranties are provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
2. Warranty Exclusions
Our voluntary structural warranty does not cover damage or deterioration caused by:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Paint or powder-coat fading, discolouration and cosmetic deterioration resulting from normal environmental exposure.
- Scratches, chips, dents or external impacts.
- Corrosion or premature component failure caused by inadequate cleaning or maintenance.
- Exposure to salt, sand, chemicals or corrosive environments where reasonable cleaning and maintenance have not been undertaken.
- Overloading or exceeding specified weight ratings.
- Accidents, misuse or operation outside the product's intended design specifications.
- Unauthorised modifications or incorrect third-party installation where these cause or contribute to the damage.
- Failure to inspect and maintain structural mounting bolts and fasteners where this causes or contributes to the damage.
These exclusions do not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
3. Customer Maintenance Responsibilities
Regular maintenance is essential to the safe operation and ongoing performance of your WKND Warriors canopy or tray package.
All structural mounting bolts and accessible fasteners must be inspected at least annually and checked and re-torqued where required to the applicable manufacturer-specified torque settings.
Inspections and any necessary adjustments are the responsibility of the vehicle owner and should be performed by a suitably qualified person using the correct equipment.
Customers are also responsible for:
- Regular cleaning, particularly after exposure to saltwater, sand, mud or corrosive environments.
- Inspecting hinges, locks, latches, gas struts and seals for wear or damage.
- Maintaining moving components according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Checking for loose, damaged or missing fasteners.
- Operating within specified vehicle and product load ratings.
- Promptly addressing any signs of damage or component failure.
Failure to undertake reasonable maintenance may affect coverage under our voluntary warranty where that failure causes or contributes to the defect or damage.
4. Making a Warranty Claim
If you experience an issue with your WKND Warriors canopy or tray package, please contact us.
To help us assess your claim, please provide:
- Your name and contact details.
- Your order or invoice number, if available.
- A description of the issue.
- Photographs or videos where practical.
We'll assess the issue and coordinate an appropriate resolution, which may include working with a local repairer, the original fitment partner or supplying replacement components.
Please contact WKND Warriors before arranging repairs independently so we can discuss the appropriate next steps.
5. Returns & Refunds
Change-of-Mind Returns
WKND Warriors canopies and tray packages are custom-designed and manufactured to each customer's approved specifications.
For this reason, we do not generally accept change-of-mind returns.
Faulty Products
If a product fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy under Australian Consumer Law.
We will work with you to assess the issue and provide the appropriate remedy.
6. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These rights apply in addition to the WKND Warriors warranty.
