Who Builds Your Rig

Four-wheel driving and camping have been my passions since I handed over a wad of cash for my first 4x4 at the age of 16—a 1996 Suzuki Sierra coily. It was small and cheeky, just reliable enough to get the job done, but it allowed me to explore those hard-to-find places, igniting a passion for adventure. From having to maneuver it out of Wilbinga dunes without a working clutch pedal to getting so stuck in the mud at Dwellingup that the clutch plate rusted to the flywheel.

I've always driven older vehicles that I've had to build from the ground up. I've had to figure out what might break first and then modify it to prevent issues. Reliability is something I've always created rather than bought.

Keep It Simple

That thinking became the foundation of WKND Warriors. I’m a firm believer in the K.I.S.S. principle — Keep It Simple, Stupid.

If something doesn't need to be on your build, it shouldn't be there. If I use a particular material, component or design, there’s a reason for it. Decisions are based on real-world use and testing, not adding features for the sake of having a longer spec sheet.

Ease of use, durability and reliability come first.

Built around the way you travel

That same approach goes into every WKND build. Whether you're setting up for weekends around WA or weeks on the road, the goal is the same: a canopy and tray setup that suits how you actually travel and can handle where you take it.

WKND Warriors is Perth-based, Australian owned and operated.

Every build starts with a conversation. Tell me how you travel.
